high quality PVC body

Every Honwave is built to the same exacting standard, using extremely durable, high grade PVC, quite simply the best available.

GRP transom

The transom holds the engine, so it needs to be extremely tough and stable. That’s why we’ve built ours from highly durable GRP (Glass Reinforced Plastic) instead of wood.

Oars inside the boat

The oars are stowed away safely inside the boat, freeing-up space on top of the tube for you and your passengers.

Bow roller

A small detail, but highly efficient. The bow roller protects the bow from rope damage when moored or at anchor.

Tough loop handles

These integral loop handles not only look great, but offer you and your passengers additional safety and comfort.

Wider tube diameter for smoother cruising

Our innovative large diameter tubes ensure remarkable flotation and stability, to smooth out even the roughest of rides.

Highfield boats

Dare to Explore

If you are looking for a complete boat package, we’ve teamed up Highfield which perfectly match market leading Honda Marine outboard engines. This partnerships represent the ultimate package in quality and craftsmanship, making it easier than ever to get out on the water.

With 27,000 boats delivered globally since the brand’s beginning in 2011, Highfield Boats is now the world’s number one in the RIB tender sector and a global player in the 5 metre + sector.

Performance and strength have always been at Highfield’s core. The brand has focussed on these two key values above anything else. Highfield’s hulls are dry-riding, very seaworthy and always over-built. Their reputation for durability is now world-renowned. The heavy-duty approach to design and build allows leisure and commercial owners to have the confidence needed to go that extra mile and to tackle conditions avoided by many others.

As such, Highfield has been chosen time and again as the support boat of choice for prestigious events worldwide, with fleets up to 50 strong. From Vendee Globe to the Invictus Games, Pan Am Games, Extreme Sailing Series, ORC Championships, TP52 & The Route Du Rhum. Not only is this trust shown in Highfield’s larger RIBs, but in their tenders too.

Sustainability is also a huge part of Highfield’s DNA. All of the hulls and structures are built in aluminium, which is infinitely recyclable. In addition, Highfield powder coat in an enclosed area to ensure that their footprint remains low from the beginning of the manufacturing process through to the end of each product’s life.

Quality

Aluminium has long been the hull material of choice in many parts of the world due to its strength, ease of repair, versatility and above all its weight saving characteristics. Remember, because aluminium won’t soak up water, your Highfield will weigh the same in 10 years as it did the day it left the showroom.

To ensure the long life of your Highfield RIB, we only use top quality materials. High tensile, marine-grade aluminium is powder coated and baked to ensure a smooth and durable finish, which is more eco-friendly. Our tube fabrics are either Valmex® PVC from the reputed Melher Texnologies in Germany, or ORCA® Hypalon, from the standard bearer in commercial tube design, Pennel and Flipo in France.

Every Highfield boat is rigorously tested to strict ISO standards before leaving the factory. This comprehensive testing of all of our component parts during manufacture, and our 2 year structural warranty on all of our boats, means you can have complete confidence in your Highfield RIB.

Environment

When producing our boats, we use processes that are non-polluting and conserve energy and natural resources, making it economically sound and safe for employees, communities and consumers. We make efforts to chose the right materials not only to build the Highfield boats tough and durable but also to make them environmentally friendly.

LIGHT WEIGHT – The Highfield aluminium hulls bring strength and light weight to the boats. As a consequence the boats require less horse power to propel them which means smaller outboard engine for same propulsion, lower fuel consumption and less CO2 emission.

ALUMINIUM – Aluminium recycling is the process by which scrap aluminium can be reused in products after its initial production. The process involves simply re-melting the metal, which is far less expensive and energy intensive than creating new aluminium. Recycling scrap aluminium requires only 5% of the energy used to make new aluminium. The nature of aluminium makes the material one of the few “infinitely recyclable” materials used in society; it can be recycled infinitely with no loss in quality.

POWDER COATING – It is a paint in powder form which is electrically charged as it is sprayed onto a surface to be coated and then baked in an oven, where the powder particles melt and fuse into a smooth coating. The result is a uniform, durable, high quality environmentally safe and attractive finish using no solvents.
